Innovative Approaches to Slum Electrification

This report, published by the US Agency for International Development, presents case studies from around the world on innovative approaches to slum electrification. The overall goals of this study were to provide a general understanding of the problem and what is being done about it; to explore in depth a variety of promising innovative approaches to dealing with the problem; and to extract lessons learned. One of the featured case studies includes MHT and Ahmedabad Electric Company’s (AEC) Slum electrification program linked with ongoing slum upgrading efforts.
