Slum Free Cities? How Women of Ahmedabad Led a Housing Revolution

In Ahmedabad’s Abhuji Na Chhapra, shows how a group of women worked with private developers to upgrade their living conditions. Under the slum rehabilitation scheme, this was an opportunity for the community to move from their hot and uncomfortable homes with poor ventilation and no running water, to a four-storey co-op housing with access to all basic services.
