Do Community-Based Institutions Spur Climate Adaptation in Urban Informal Settlements in India?

This study strives to understand whether community-based organizations (CBOs) like women’s community action groups enhance the ability of people living in urban informal settlements to take action to reduce vulnerability to climate risk. Another objective of this paper is to assess some preliminary evidence on the ability of CBOs to engage meaningfully with local governments.
